Trying not to overwhelm you with selections, I'll give you a very condense choice of great first time listening j music:

Utada Hikaru for a more r&b, mature mellow sound (Recommend) Smile

Ayumi Hamasaki for the more poppy sound, the earlier you go into her music the less poppy is it, but I recommend the early stuff

The Pillows for a more American indie like rock sound. Great stuff. (Recommended) Smile

Do As Infinity is like a combination of Utada Hikaru and The Pillows (Really Recommended) Smile

X Japan for a more progressive/ pop metal sound

Morning Musume for the too cute for you own good sound (wouldn't recommend but interesting to experience)

sorry bout that...i am not sure whether the song by witches is korean lol....i enjoy that song so much...but i might got it confused with japanese...lol

anyway heres my review with the free upload servers we can get
rapidhare.de~with hourly limit+delay for round 25 secs speed is quite good
Megaupload~ very slow nowadays...(almost crawling) with 45 secs delay
filefront~GREAT speed! files removed when inactive for few days or so...(thats what i think)
ultrashare.net~ great speed with no delays and so on...but the uploader cannot see any progress bar...

heres one more nice song...
Yutaka Ozaki - I LOVE YOU
http://s6.ultrashare.net/hosting/fs/2d87d29c2759177b/

glad u guys anjoy japanese music too...
