The difference is that in the Densha Otoko Another Finale SP, the main character is not Densha, but one of the his Internet buddies and his other otoko buddy.

Okay so this is a little left of field but could anyone tell me what Sakurai says (in Japanese and prefereably in kanji) when his 2nd lancer is towed? its translated along the lines of "Ring! Lancers! Hermes! ... Come Back"

iie, gomen nasai... Sorry I can't remember what he said. My Japanese is limited to Densha's dating skills. LOL
The finale SP is not needed, but it backtracks the series and shows the "missing parts" of what other people did at the time. The funniest scene had to be where densha's buddies reenacted densha's confession and they made out. Both guys. LOL

I can really feel like i'm a part of the forum with densha soshite tomadachi's .. this drama has really hit the spot.. never in my life have i ever been hit at my heart.. but even this drama changed my life.. made me think more then just on the outside..
It's finally over.. and i just finished watching it today.. but one thing i want to say is .. we can all learn from densha otoko.. and that is NEVER GIVE UP.. if u have ur mind set.. whether it is love, career, or just family problem/friends.. help eachother out.. and in the end you'll be helped too..
I too even cried in this drama .. even more then My sassy girl.. and thats not typical of me.. but when a drama or movie can do that.. it means the director really took the time to construct such a masterpiece.. and as for the actor/actress i really loved their work...

I know i'm like 2 years late to the party, but I finished watching this myself recently and I have to say everything in the post I quoted is exactly how I felt about it.
At times I was almost shouting at the screen along with the forum members or when Densha hit a certain milestone, in some instances I even jumped up and down for joy quite literally.
No TV show (or Movie for that matter) has EVER made me do anything like that before, which makes this Show something special in my eyes, absolutly loved every single minute of it, 12 Midnight was my Densha time (Parents were in bed and I could watch it by myself in peace) and I always wanted 12 midnight to come round quicker than it did.
Definitly had an impact on my life, and kind of got me out of the rut I was in, I think of things differently now. (Might sound clich'e but it's true)
A million thumbs up for this show!
