Hey Rollins thanks for your subs always!

I really like this show a lot Wub

, and I am considering of doing up a Chinese translation of your Ainori subtitles based on your English version of subs. I do know how to do subbing. I just needed to check with you if it is ok for me to use your subtitles and translate it into Chinese.

This is just a trial to see the demand for Chinese subtitles. Translations will be in Simplified Chinese, and I will release Traditional Chinese versions if there is a need for it.

Original translations will be credited to you, and timings to Niki.

Really wish that a lot more people can enjoy this show like we do, and since every episode is only 30mins it's relatively easy to sub. Big Smile

If you may allow, I will upload the Chinese subtitles for episode #386 that I have completed for Chinese speakers (or anyone) here to sample. Big Smile

You can use my timings, I don't mind. I do want to say it's not 'relatively easy to sub' though. I think anyone who has subbed/timed a TV show can confirm that xD. I've timed quite a few drama episodes but this is different and harder. So please don't say it's easy, thank you^^.

Hey Niki and Rollins, thanks! Actually I said easy for my case only, since I am only translating what you guys have done. Sorry if I didn't make it clear that I am not talking about all subbers as a whole. I know it's much harder to time and do the initial subbing since it is started from scratch. It's quite irritating to time actually, especially Ainori where everyone speaks at the same time.

A separate thread will be posted on D-Addicts when I have the subs for #393.

Anyway, this is a sample of subs for episode #386 translated into Chinese Simplified. Do post here if you will like to see the subs in Traditional text. Do be cautioned that this project will only be for a limited time only, and unless the demand is high, it will discontinue at anytime.

All names have been kept in Romanji.

The Asian font type used is SimHei, and it is copyrighted by Microsoft, available in Windows 2000/XP/Vista. The file is in .ass format, but due to restrictions by D-Addicts, I can only upload .srt files. You may need to rename the file to .srt after downloading. A better means of overcoming this will be done in the future.

Episode 393 subs are complete!

ASS subs can be found at: http://www.rolandcarlos.net/ainori This is the recommended version for viewing!

SRT version is also provided just in case you can't view ASS subs, but it may not look as nice (due to formatting issues). It should still be readable though.

Also, two things that you should note if you're a fan of these subs!

1. The next Ainori episode is March 3.

2. I will be going on vacation from March 12 to May 7. I am not giving up on this project, but I will admit that it will be quite difficult for me to continue subbing the series on a weekly basis in this period. I also don't know how reliable my internet access will be while I'm on my vacation. Since all I do is translate and niki can handle the actual creation of subs, I may be able to just translate the transcripts from the site and just send them to niki and allow her to put the subs online herself. This would probably mean that the host dialogue would be untranslated.

However, I won't know if I'll be able to do even do that while on vacation. I can't really say for sure until I actually go on vacation.

So, best-case, expect limited subs to come out, worst-case, expect subs to go a break until mid-May.

Thanks for the subs ! I think ainori is probably one of my favourite shows ever. You guys are the bestest <3

I'm by far not fluent in Japanese but I'm currently studying at an intermediate level. While watching ainori, I always thought that I should give a crack at it some time but thought that there wasn't any point because of your's and niki's fine subs. But I would be happy to have a go at it if you would like, I didn't know that there were transcripts on their site, which would definately make things alot easier (I can't really understand the deep spoken narrator guy at all T___T).

Could I get a link to the transcripts page? I'm scared to visit the ainori page after they gave me spoilers about an episode I hadn't seen yet =d
