It would be great if we could set the torrent list according to our preference. Such as
'kdrama' 'raw'
and next time you don't need to select these again.

| I think we should have a relaxed ratio system to bring the % to a higher level than 25%...maybe a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio. Basically for those who don't understand, if you upload 1 megabyte, you have earn 2 or 3 megabyte when you download something.

Check the 2 stats... I don't like 1:1 ratio but I sure don't mind 1:3 ratio. Ratio does work but it should not be strict as FSS though. I just would like the share ratio to be near 50% atleast.

| Bit torrent is my only dl p2p program i use and i have never had enough patience to dl dramas here because it would take too long. dl from clubbox is way faster. So if we are to keep running bittorent, i suggest we have a share ratio of .5. which means you have to upload 50% of what you downloaded. People who fail to do so should get kicked out. This may have suggested above. SOrry if i am repeating too much.

it doesn't take much to change those things. For people who don't stick to one preference, it'll be a pain to have to change around all the time anyway, so same difference. I don't think that's such a convenient thing. It's fine the way it is. Besides, with the way things are now the newest uploaded torrents are always listed first.

Actually you can do that. I put it in the old profile page but then after I changed to the new profile system I haven't gotten around to adding it in.
I think I will add save link under the listing instead.

FSS can achieve that because they're a closed system i.e. members only and becoming member seems to be hard. In other words they are selective in their members and it works for them which is good if you want to get things fast and with high availability but only to selective few. However, dong that to d-addict would go against our mission statement "To help as many people as possible to find and enjoy asian dramas and to help spread the joy of asian dramas to people all over the world."
If you look at their peers stat they have at most under 1000 while we have at any one point in time 20x that amount. The reason why I use jpopsuki as an example was because their size was comparative to ours both in terms of userbase and amount of torrents.
Actually, just to make one thing clearer. D-Addict is not dead set on using or not using a ratio system, if people can convince me the pros out weighs the cons of the system AND it continues to support our mission statement then I will certainly switch to it. At the moment, I'm just not so convince that a ratio system is to the benefit of everybody or even a vast majority rather than just benefiting a smaller set of our users.
Also, D-Addicts doesn't have to only support bittorrent either, I just selected bittorrent because I feel so far its the best tool in giving access to asian dramas to many people, its the best mass distribution tool I know of curently. If another mechanism arrives that can do even better than bittorrent then we'll certainly switch to that.

Bittorent is the best!
Having a ratio:
Goods:
1. Faster upload.
2. more seeders
3. if everyone is willing to upload at max speed, itd rule clubbox!
4. Who here doesnt want less time dling and more time watching
Bads:
1. 56K, you're screwed
2. Leechers, its time to be seeders
3. for some, its bad to help people.

Uhm, I just wonder... can we have a fast reply box?? I might sound really lazy, but it's pretty convenient to have a fast reply box. Clicking on the post reply button every time can be pretty tiresome  . It's just there for easy usage. We don't have to worry about spammers because there seems to be no (?) spammer at this board.

I personally do not like the ratio system idea. I do not like being forced to do anything. Depending on my location I choose to share or not to share. During my summer house I barely share my files due to my slow connection. But during the winter, I am living in my other house, which I share, and max out my upload speed to 1meg/sec. My whole point is that I want to be able to choose when to share and when not to, and do not want to be controlled or obligated to share.
P.S . I think a chat room would be a cool idea. I personally i dont like using mirc that is why.

How about being able to change usernames? 
j/k!! (little joke there) D-addicts seriously is one of the best run sites around! I think it's due to the fact that most people here want to help out the community! 
However I do wish there was a way to get rid of the leechers/Ebay sellers!! Not sure if some type of IP block could be put to use... About the only other thing I can think of is maybe cleaning up the subtitle forums. It's kinda hard to find subs sometimes because people will post them under the topic, but they might end up on like the 4th page if they're an updated version. Maybe subs should end up being locked so that just subs are available and not subs + 40 thank yous!
