Planning to Fansub "Xian Jian Qi Xia Zhuan"

Hey everyone,

I'm planning to fansub "Xian Jian Qi Xia Zhuan" ~ aka "Chinese Paladin". Info on the series can be found here:

Can anyone supply me with avi/mpg files? I only have the series in rmvb, and I'd really like to hardsub this drama.

I'm waiting for subtitles for this series. I have the whole series in rmvb files too. Is doing soft sub harder than hard sub? I don't know any chinese. I'm not sure if i could be any help...but i would like to help out.

Thanks for your support. So far, I've already got a team of translators ready, and it looks like we're ready to start as soon as we have the avi files. My goal is releasing 1-2 episodes per week once we get started. Hope you guys can help me quickly find the avi files so this project can begin.

Hello!

Haven't been posting much lately. But are you guys planning on doing hard or soft subs, and do you have the full, uncut version? I've only got the 34 ep avis with the begining song removed from almost all the eps except the first one, I think.

I've actually already started doing subs for this series on my own cuz I wanted to show it to my friends despite its ending. I've done prelim subs up to ep 8 already; depending on what format you and your team are planning on releasing, and if you'd like some help, let me know.

I wish this was sub but I'm having little hope since it's been awhile and the first episode haven't been out yet. I know it's summer and it takes time to sub so I'm not keep my hope up. Crying

crazylife123, I started subbing this series on my own two weeks ago because I was bored and already have almost the first 10 episodes done. I really dislike doing anything until I have the whole series completed, though, because I don't like the pressure of nagging people, and I don't think people like waiting between episodes. I'd gotten a lot of PMs about Xian Jian, I think because of my avatar/sig, so I might release a few eps if enough people are interested. Also, I don't want to get in the way of eastwind's team if they're already taking this series.

I have a few problems, most important of which is the fact that I only have the 34 ep version, which is very obviously missing a few bits of the plot. I don't know where to get the full version, though. I posted in the Chinese entertainment section but no one answered. If anyone has the full version, I'd like to know if it's got a section about the snake demon and the Uncle Zhang guy...I'd heard a lot of nice scenes are missing in the 34 ep version.

By the way, crazylife123, if you haven't seen it, where comes your lovely Ling'er avatar?

hey I found timed subs(korean) for Chinese Paladin, and it synches with DVD rips (Xvid version as well as rmvb I think), so this will save u trouble timing it(I believe I can get all of the episode timed subs, if not, most of it it). I can send by email the subs in srt or other format if you prefer. Do you want it for ep 11+ or 1-10(I dunno when u say translation, does that include timing).
