Hmm... Ep 2 seems to be moving along nicely, so I'm dropping off to seed this ep.
Someone let me know if I'm going too fast. Don't want the first ones to die off too fast.... _________________ I am not obsessed. I am just very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very focussed...

If you want to do that why not just make it a batch file and seed it for 16 days |
Hmm... I actually thought about that, but it still takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours per disk to encode, then I have to rerip each one in file mode to get the subs off (and then retime the ones for the second ep, but that's no big deal.)
Gotta update my computers one of these days. Never thought a 4.4 gig overclocked p4 with a 4 disk raid-0 array would seem too slow. 10k rpm hard drives maybe? Kind of pricey though....
Besides, this way, people can watch the earlier ones while downloading the later ones.
No feedback about the quality yet, so I'll assume it's good to go. _________________ I am not obsessed. I am just very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very focussed...

Well, I have the [jem] version and yours, so I can say by far it's no comparison. They're two different categories (TVrip/DVDrip) and it's good quality.
Honestly, it looks like a HDtv rip (Did you 2-pass?), and I was expecting a bigger resolution, but those are comments not complaints.
Thank you, aNToK. I've never watched Bright Girl's Success Story until I found out Han Eun Jung's in it. Time to start drooling.. _________________ Status: inactive | life_offline_school_work

actually, i was gonna ask about the number of passes myself. but as kood mentioned, just commenting, not complaining. by far, it's still very good quality rips._________________ Use THUMBS UP/DOWN buttons to KEEP or DELETE posts.

Well, it's good that they're an improvement over the other ones.
As far as encoding, these were all done with 2-pass Xvid encoding (Koepi's latest build) via the beta 2 version of AutoGK. I was playing around with the mpeggable codec, but I didn't see an appreciable difference between the two encodes, so I went with the one that'd be compatible with most people's setups.
The resolution will change a bit from vid to vid. It's set for auto-width and the video material (lots of action, etc.) does make a bit of a difference here when sticking with the 700 meg filesize. Since the source dvd is not quite as sharp in picture as, say, Winter Sonata or Hotelier DVD's, the slightly lower resolution seems to work better than sticking it at 640 X 480 or so. _________________ I am not obsessed.
