In any case Phinn has set up a paypal account a few months ago in which we could donate money for making this project, how do you know i didnt send him $100 which gives me the right to complain? hhmmm? later YOSHIE | There's a difference between donating and buying you know (or maybe you don't)...
It's still a fan-effort and you cannot make any demands.

If this project has taught me anything beyond how to create SSA files, it's "Don't announce the project until you're finished." As of now, I have spent ~$200 on the DVDs and received $0 in donations, so your argument doesn't really hold, itachi666
Anyway, turns out the colour problem was a quirk of playing the XviDs through Media Player Classic (more details in the torrent comment), so I'm posting the episodes tomorrow morning to a kindly soul in the US who has offered to upload them for me since I cannot. This person will remain nameless for the moment as I don't want anyone pressuring him or her.
Thank you to all the supportive posters!

| No donations? That's really disappointing. Personally, I'm not planning on downloading this series, which is why I didn't make a donation. But if I paid that kind of money for DVDs and $0 came from donations, I wouldn't even upload it. I would simply say, "$100 in donations or no upload!" Call me whatever you want, but sharing does have its monetary limits.

Heh, well, hopefully it'll increase my karma levels. I guess the problem with doing a niche show as a solo project. If I had a translator on-board and was doing something like Stand Up!!, then the donations would come flooding in. Maybe

Y'know... What you're doing is really a great thing for both your karma and for the drama community. It's a lot more than what I would've done (my Fuji TV laser disc sets come to mind.)
Here's my point of view on all this... No matter what's out there right now - whether it's a C- quality rip or a A-quality rip, people will still want you to upload DVDs because it is guaranteed that DVD rips are A++++. That's why when someone poses a question like you did at the start of this ("Who wants a DVD rip of XXXXXX?"), it is natural you'll get a gazillion yes votes.
But I've never given the drama community credibility in the sense that they want an A+ rip and will treasure it always. Which is why I'm not totally enthusiastic about re-mastering dramas. With the Hitotsu Yane no Shita project I did awhile back, there was indeed a need for it because the best quality version out there was a C- grade. And just about any other early 1990's drama deserves to be re-mastered simply because the quality of the capturing and recording wasn't up to today's standards.
But now we're talking about Hitonatsu no Papa e, which is less than three years old. The version posted was quite good - I'd grade it a B+. For something like this, IMHO it doesn't justify a re-master. Look at the numbers... The viewership ratings was only 5.6. Also, it includes people like Ueto Aya, which IMHO still hasn't reached the point where her presence boosts viewership ratings like some other artists like a Matsushima Nanako or a Ito Misaki.
And this itachi666 douchbag troll of a user has the gall to criticize this project when he could just download the current TV-rips and be satisfied. Yes, itachi666 is a troll because all it does is focus on this one project and write nothing but negative comments.
That's basically how I look at it... Sub-standard drama, with good quality TV-rips already in existence, and a couple of trolls keeping an eye on you every minute. The combination just doesn't work for me. I would still suggest you do the project because you invested in the DVDs, but I'd just give them out to your circle of friends.

Well, to be honest, as an avid Aya Ueto fanboy, I'm doing this as much for me as anyone else. Essentially, this project is aimed at people like me who are big Aya fans and thus would want a HQ version of an essentially mediocre show. Put it this way, if Aya wasn't in it, I wouldn't have even considered it
If just five people download this, burn it onto disc and are happy with it, then it is mission accomplished for me.
