welcome back sunshine
was missing your excitement everytime you were watching an episode of L&E Tongue

Hidden:

i think i have written this before that i too was so angry at the way story was written and concluded. i think the writer wanted to say that true love is much better than just a physical but if he really wanted to point out this fact by ending this drama like this, then i think he has not do a good job overall.
because we could really see that both jiro and kasumi loved each other for real. it mights have been physical attraction at first but by time they really developed storng bonding between eachother.
so i really was astonished to see how kasumi can forget her love for jiro so fast like she had no feeling at all. and there was no point in killing off ryuchi by the end the same way as her 1st husband. i really found it too cliche to repeat the story like this and to make her go back to jiro after she clearly had forgotten her love for him, is just a sign of the writer's undecisivness about how to end the story.

ok, i was thinking about their future (sometimes i like to imagine how the story goes if it still was on, so bear with me Tongue ). what if kasumi remembered her love for jiro again and decided to be a couple again? what if she got pregnant again? does that mean it's the end of our poor beloved jirokun? let's just hope that 3rd time would be lucky for her for jiro's sake Laugh

re. L&E

Butting in~ Hnnn.. I cannot be too sure, since it's been awhile since I've watched L&E.. but I don't remember ever feeling that way about Kasumi.. what I mean is.. I do not think that she really has forgotten her love for Jiro..
I do agree with you, their relationship started as a merely physical thing.. but it changed as we see the episodes progress..
But I guess, it just so happens that she picked Ryuichi over Jiro..
I don't think she forgot about her feelings for Jiro, it's just that, she has come to terms that she can't have them both..
but the ending was really really sad..
I cannot imagine someone going thru that kind of pain.. twice.

I guess I have to re-watch it again to confirm my thoughts. Hahaha

don't worry morai. no butting in at all Tongue

i am not too sure but i got that feeling the she has no recollection of how deep was her love for Jiro at all.
what i mean is she loved Jiro for longer period of time than Ruyichi, even though he loved her from very begining but she never thought of him in the same way.
my mind says is the best choice she made for picking Ryuchi over Jiro because he really deserves to be loved by her but my heart insists on poor Jiro because she was the only woman to make him a better man when he was with her and completely changed him and brought him back to life.
this kind of stories can be discussed in so many ways as it involve emotions and love and each ones of us will have a different view but very interesting to read how other people think about it.
but one thing for sure, the ending was too sad and i always wondered why it has to end like this.

all these talks about L&E made me want to see it again, but i will resist the temptation and the fact that entire drama is on this laptop making it even harder to resist Crazy

@ Issy: dear, I think the same as you about Love&Eros...
Hidden:

and it seems to me that in the last two episodes the things getting too much confused: also for Mari that started to work as entertainer, and Ryuichi save her from this new awful life... Ryuichi was a good man, but in this two eps he's too much "saint" , it's like the writer wants us to think "he's so good! he's perfect for Kasumi" but Kasumi smiled more brightly with Jiro...
And another question: it's possible that a bunch of birthday greetings make Kasumi fall in love so deeply with Ryuichi? I think that his love for her was always clear and she knew that. But she didn't fall in love with him earlier 'cause she fell in love with Jiro. It's too much fast and confused!

ok ok I'll go to take care of Jiro, don't worry pinch

Dear friends,

Recently, I've watched a video of Tokio, live, and they exhanged their roles to one another. For example, Nagase played the keyboard and the bassist sang, while the keyboard player became the drummer. I wonder if Nagase can really play keyboard. I mean, I know he can play the guitar, drum and harmonica, but I'd never seen him playing the keyboad till then. And he looked kinda clumsy with the keyboad. Do you think that he can play it?

Here's the link.
http://www.crunchyroll.com/media-382306/TOKIO-School-Festival-TOKIO-Live.html

And I have to say that I think his change into a more mature and older-man image really unwise. Or maybe, his smoking, drinking and splitting with Ayumi Hamasaki made a bad effect on hin. I mean, I prefer his image back then. However, I can tell that he's really a talented man. He can do a lot of things, which is really hard to find. I think he's even better than Kimura, who I believe to be the God of J-entertainment. But it's just me anyway.

Bye-toh. And see ya.

Hi Tomogirls,
long time no seen. But for some reasons I had to loan my com to a friend. So I was kind of “speechless”.

@Issy
Oh my, your sigi is gorgeous. As you already know this is my most favorite look of our beloved Babe. I can imagine how beautiful the walli will look like - a wonderful work of art. Hope you’ll share it with us. My com desperately is in need for such a great gift.

@sun
Regarding L&E – like Issy I think the writer did a hell of a job (or maybe had to do so?). That’s why I decided to forget about the confusing story and just take it for what it is, a drama which allows me to see cute and young Tomobabe as much as I want to. LOL

@naki
Thanks for the tip, dear. After I got back my com I was too busy organizing my poor thing to look around LJs. And yesterday I was “caught up” by working on a new music-video of Ringu.
Anyway, a few days late though, but I got it and already watched it. newshfan did an amazing job. I almost gave up on this ever getting subbed. (And the very selfish part in me tells me I shouldn’t wish her to get well that very soon, for she might be in the mood to sub his second SCP as well. LOL)

@natkasu_cutie
Not quite sure but I think I haven’t seen you around here before (?). In case, welcome to our “family”.
They did the performance you are referring to as a joke during a concert in Sept. 2006. That’s why he looks “kinda clumsy”. Like the other members of TOKIO Tomoya can play various instruments, not as perfect as the guitar, but very well.

@Kouhaku fans
Anyone around here who likes long-hair Babe as much as I do? (just a rhethorical question LOL)
Hidden:

In case, here’s TOKIO’s performance of Arigato Yuki in Kouhaku 1996.

Hi there. As Naiya has stated it is from the 2006 Gigs..
I agree that he is a talented man..
I do think that their "school festival" performance is a real great way for them to develop further as a group. if you get to familiarize yourself with an instrument of your bandmate.. you get to understand that person better.. at least that's my opinion..
(plus.. nothing beats seeing Taichi on the drums..)
and.. on another venue.. i think their instrument rotation is a bit different.. so, those five guys have my respect, no matter what.
Hnnn.. as for his "new image", i do not blame you for thinking that.. if you prefer his old self, then it's no problem at all.
but just my two cents..
(this could be far from the truth, but this is what i believe)
Tomoya (and all of TOKIO actually) has left the "idol" image a few years back..
he's turning 30 this year, so i guess, it is about time he matures, don't you think? hehe..
he's a dork still, tho. but at cetain times, the depth of his maturity surfaces (as how he was in the SCP interview.)
OR
you could be pertaining to his "image" during the late 2oo7??
he looks more mature, because he indeed does need to portray a role of a 30-something guy..
Anyways, nice of you to drop by. hope to see you again.

@ Issy
You're welcome.
I hope you had a great time watching.
I was waiting for the dL to finish, and I watched it right away..
(that's why i barely had 4 hours to sleep last night. HAHA)
I was.. actually very teary-eyed..
I've known of the things he has experienced before..
but it's really different hearing him say it.
and just when i thought it was impossible, my respect for him as a musician and a person grew even more.

AND
everyone (well, allmost..) knows that my TOMOs are YamaP and Nagase.. HAHA.. I flailed at that VTR moment. *fangurl-ishness is revealed*

@ Naiya
You've been missed sincerely!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I'm glad you've got your comp. back, and now you won't be too "speechless".
Ooohh... Music videos~
Speaking of which, I've been making karaokes (I put in romaji lyrics, and replace the original sounds to backing tracks, so that it would be just like a real karaoke when you play it on your DVD player. LOL) of various videos since April..
And I did a cut version of ETERNAL FLAME (of course...)
I'll upload it when I find the time.. and when my connection is being nice.

w-wait a minute.. he had TWO SCP guestings?
I-I didn't know that.. I only have one of them!
Well, we can only hope that she subs the other one.. afterall, she has formed a growing respect to Tomoya and I can clearly see it... HAHA..

and that VID!!
so old!!!
I'll be snagging it in a while! thanks!

wow. long post.

@morai
woooooow, i had a such wonderful time last night watching SCP. i can never thank the person for this wonderful job that she has done with subbing.
i totally saw another babe in there and you could clearly see this " depth of his maturity surfaces ".
but also felt so sad when he said that he recieved those hatemail from TOKIO fans as newcomer and he how hard he tried to fit in without shwoing off much. and i think it is a hell of job when you put in the centre of attention by being the main vocal singer of the band. no matter how childish we think babe can be sometimes but in my mind he needed to grow up and mature much faster at age 15 to fit in that environment.
and working almost 24 hours a day? my god, do you remember that sleeping beauty picture in DxD set? baby really worked hard to get to this stage. i have nothing but respect and admiration and love for this guy.

oh, as soon as i saw the other tomo Tongue i remembered you dear morai

@natkasu
welcome dear
morai and Naiya explained very well about him playing keyboard on that gig. it was so fun to watch. but i have a feeling that besides guitar, babe like to play/have fun with drums more that other instruments. you always catch him in various behind the scenes footage playing drums.
as for his mature image, well i think we have talked about this sometimes ago before Utahime. i too have mixed emotions about this fact but i have accpeted him the way he is now. of course this personal opinion. i too have my fav tomo images from some years of his work and what ever i do, i can't stop faiting Laugh whenever i see a picture from that time but we need to support him in everyway that he is.
was also blaming smoking/split/lazing around/drinking for his mature image but come to think of it, he is almost 30 now and has matured as a fine man. he always looked older than what he really is anyway.
but what i feel now is that is more relaxed and focused on things that he liks doing. he has worked under so much pressure for over 15 years and this is not an easy job. before knowing TOKIO i always thought of babe as an actor but after watching 2006 gig i came to realise that he really loves his music and i can see that he even loves it more that acting. you can see how much enjoys it. his eyes really shines when he plays his guitar or sing.
but of course he should always consider his image because he lives in entertaiment world and there is no escape from that even though it's the last thing on his mind.
but have tomogirls saw the one before last dash where babe, leader and yamagouchi go in search of best resturants in Tokyo on bikes? babe looked absolutely devine in there. had to rewind so many times. Goggle eyes Goggle eyes Goggle eyes
ok, i think i talked too much, sorry for the headache Mr. Green

@Tomogirls
cheers Great news!!!!!!! TOKIO is going to sing the theme song of Mabo's new drama “Yasuken”. Barely can't wait to hear the music!
(credits to kinkikids at wordpress.com)

@Issy
Thanks a lot for this beautiful wallie. Your “finishing touch” makes it look so very much alike him. It’s already in front of me on my desktop. I can’t help it. I’ll always have my fave tomo images. LOL
As for the old vid? Of course I did it on purpose, dear. If I’m not able to resist how am I supposed to let you go? Hahaha……
Back to be honest, just thought you’d love to see another performance (which isn’t up-ed anywhere else, at least I never stumbled about it) of our adorable 18year old Baby. Especially after we got to know which hell he had to go through in joining TOKIO. But he taught those “fans” a lesson, right? There’d be no TOKIO today without Tomoya. His addiction, his passion had an important part in make them what they are. Who else would practice playing the guitar for 8 hours after a hard work on set? Remember? We were always wondering why he looked so very skinny in T&D. Now we know!

@naki
I love to do music-videos (especially when there’s a wonderful person I’m hopelessly addicted to). But since it’s a very time consuming work (~10-20 hours, depends on the music) I can’t afford to make as many I’d like to. Ringu is my first this year. And Issy-chan just gave me another beautiful music which will suit the Ringu theme much more better than the one I used before. So the today’s nightshift is inevitable. In case you like to watch it too let me know. (of course the offer counts only if I’m satisfied with the result hahaha…….. )
Makes me remember your question about TOKIO’s PVs. Will send you a PM.
I think I should have imagined you like making karaokes. And I’m sure it has been very helpful in preparing yourself for your performance some weeks ago, right?
I’d like to see some of your karaokes, Eternal Flame and/or SeiSYun, that’d be great.
Just curious, can you tell me which program do you use to make those karaokes? AudioGK, VirtualDubMod, …… ? crix once told me about a great program to work with, but I can’t remember it anymore. Maybe that’s the one you’re using too.
As for SCP, yes, dear, he did a second show on 1rst April last year. (funny date, right?) It was kind of an 1rst anniversary review. You can find it in the castle, well, it’s raw of course.
I totally agree with you (how I’m supposed not to do LOL) the school festival is amazing. When I watched it on dvd I was completely caught by their performance and had to re-watch it again and again. Indeed Taichi on drums - awesome (but Babe on drums - gorgeous hahaha… )

LOL Today seems to be day of long posts ……….

@ Naiya
Hahaha.. I love long posts.. I actually miss having long posts in this thread!
Re. karaokes, etc.
Hidden:

I use SUPER for file conversions; Audacity for my audio editing needs; aegisub for timings, karaokes, and typesetting effects; and Virtual Dub for my hardsubbing issues.

I'm not fond of trying out other programs once i got a hang of one.. but from the reviews that i read, Audacity and SUPER are the best (freeware) of their kind.

back to the point of fangurling.. NEW SINGLE, YEAH!!
Haha.. With Mabo in a drama, I knew Babe's chances of having one is pretty slim..
But a single is also totally fine with me!
Also,, it's not too late to hope for a Fall drama, right?
*I remember the times when Issy (and perhaps everyone else) thought that Tomoya will not have a drama for 2oo7, and then, Utahime comes along..*
I want another ^that^ moment this year!

and even still.. I want to hear news of his movie to be released next year..!!

@ Issy
To be honest, I was really surprised by that. I didn't hear that before.. That he used his sleeping time to practice the guitar?
That's why I say my respect for him grew tenfold.
in a way maybe, i can relate in his passion.
Also, through a guitarists point-of-view, it is really much easier to notice Leader's skills, he has been good even during his pre-J-FRIENDS days..
I haven't been a fan of TOKIO "through the years", as one might say.
One and a half years ago, the only Japanese ppl I know where the ones in history books. LOL
I can only watch Nagase's improvement through the years, through various clips.. and it was weird for me how he found time to improve so much.. Haha.. now i know.

AND.. the part where they talked about.. "all their other jobs ending.. but they still want to be playing as a band"... it spoke VOLUMES...

TOKIO... hands down!
