I ask that anyone who has or wants to put any of these fansubbed Xian Jian/Chinese Paladin eps up in another forum or in their clubbox to please PM me and let me know first.
Do not upload any of these episodes on any direct viewing/streaming sites (ex: YouTube or OurMedia). Keep these in forums/bt sites.
Thank you.
Title: Xian Jian Qi Xia Zhuan; Chinese Paladin, Ep 26 (of 34)
Subs: English topsubs
Format: .avi, ~290MB, hardsubbed
This is Episode 26 of the Chinese wuxia fantasy (emphasis on fantasy) series 'Chinese Paladin,' or Xian Jian Qi Xia Zhuan.
Some people might want to hold off on inital leeching until we get a handful of seeders. It should go a bit faster that way.
This ep is Daoism at its most confusing. Sorry for any wrong translations; I don't understand much of what they're saying myself. This whole ep deals with the Dao, so the story doesn't advance much. (People who've already seen past this episode might not think that's so bad.)
If you will, share how you found out about this series and why you like it. If there're so many peers, there must be something you find interesting. If you're not familiar with Chinese series or culture, what confuses or irritates or intrigues you about Xian Jian Qi Xia Zhuan or this genre? Have you seen this kind of material in other forms like comics or novels before? I'm curious what you all think.

thanks calcifer!!
as to how i found this series?
i sorta thought that Liu Yi Fei was beautiful in Semi Devils Demi Gods 2003 (whatever the name of that series is), so i was just searching around online and i found out about this series.
as to why i like this series?
i tend to like martial arts/wuxia/"ancient" series. the storyline was pretty good in the beginning, but it's starting to lose me with all this Daoism stuff.
i live in canada, so i'm not all that familiar with chinese culture, but it's interesting. i'm trying to learn some mandarin from watching this.
what irritates me about xian jian?
there should be more xiao yao/ling er/yue ru in these later chapters. i don't really see how daoism fits in. it's dragged out too long anyways.

yay. Go Calcifer!! thanks for this ep!! i cant wait to watch it. thanks again. i love your translation soo much!
heres what i think about this chinese drama:
i found about this series seaching through some series at spcnet.tv and i saw Liu Yi Fei in parenthasese and that caught my eye. so i searched high and low for it and finally i found it on d-addicts. i found it when only 4 eps were release so its been a while. but i am glad because it gives me something to look forward to.
i love this series mainly because of LYF. if she wasnt in it, i dont think i would be typing this right now. her acting in DGSD/TLBB wasnt that good but she was only 15 back then. her acting improved a bit more in this series and she looks really goo with xiao yao.
what confuses me most is probably the Taoism in the series. it just really flow along if you know what i am talking about. i never tried the game before and if there is someone that has it, will you please share it with others? i dont care if its in chinese or not. i'll manage it somehow.
whats annoying is ye ru. i just think shes very annoying at times but sometimes she is very depressed and makes me sad as well.

| Haha yeah, Daoism seems to be the annoying factor for most people. It bored me compared to the action scenes, but I like some of the philosophy they address. (Now that I think of it, it might make the ending more meaningful, though I still think it could be better.)

Got to admit, I never really watch any Chinese movie series this long! (im more of the theatre movie)
But you got me addicted to this series, i never seen anything like it..maybe it cause the translation is superb and quality is nice.
The show keeps you on your feet until the DAO area, its been like 3 episode so far about DAO Itself...and i dont see why its needed...i guess its to tie in with Ling'er history? hmm
I hope you release more shows like these in the future!! (sadly only 8 more episode =( )

I dont even remember how i get to watch this series, but i just remember, i watched the first espisode and got addicted to it for some reason. Probably the story is new to me, not like other series, that the same thing happen all the time. Then i go everywhere to look for this series with translation..
Im viet so i dont know chinese either, but i do watch lot of chinese series so i know a little bit of chinese culture. Of course, with a good translators, this series is even better..(Thank to Calcifer)
I got a question about this chinese word, ling? (translation), cause i watched Mars and they said "ling" is zero.. But in this series, "ling" is soul. So what does it really mean?
