Sorry I couldn't resist. Same frame at DivX, Mpegable AVC and the original file.
The original file of course is MPEG2 2-pass (maybe more) @ 4Mpbs so it's only for visual comparison. And things could get much better in 2-pass mode for DivX... but AVC would be much better in 2-pass mode too... Anyway that's for people that insist that AVC won't do much difference comparing to DivX. Of course that's a very specific scene. In the most parts of the video you won't get anything like that. Plus I really don't have the time to read pages across the internet and tweak DivX to do a perfect 2-pass encode. I've tried before but I didn't have any important results. Sorry about that. I guess for now everybody's happy with the DivX version. When AVC is largely supported on every platform plus the stand-alone DVD players maybe I'll change back to AVC.

Hey okumasama, I was just wondering why you chose DivX instead of XviD. Do you find that it gave you better quality or was it easier to encode for you, or did you want to make it compatible with standalone players? Maybe I missed it in another thread.
